The Journey

A desire to help others has always been a foundational aspect of who I am. One day it came to me while standing over a copier that I wanted to be a counselor. The very next day my journey to becoming a counselor begun. Four years later I became a school counselor. Two years after that I became a licensed clinical mental health counselor.

For years I had a desire to have my own counseling practice. When I was finally able to begin that journey I questioned whether I should or shouldn’t. Eventually, I stepped out on faith and went for it. I am happy to say I officially own my own private practice.

Currently, I am working part time nights and weekends remotely providing therapy. My prayers are that one day I will be able to do this full time but for now I’m thrilled to be at this point.

My business Sage Counseling Services, PLLC is in honor of my Papa. His sage plants were precious to him and were used in many of my all time favorite meals he prepared. I think of all the hard work he put into his gardening and all that he harvested from that hard-work. Looking forward to help others “Harvest Their Future Wholeness and Wellness”.
Thank you to my husband and all of my family for your support and prayers. Most importantly I thank God for guiding all of my steps/situations that led me to this point in my life.
P.S. I am not sure she would want me to share her name but I hope she understands this is for her: Thank you to a strong amazing lady for helping me with my slogan. It’s perfect! I cannot thank you enough for your support.
